Class Information & FAQs
Capoeira Brasil Bahia is one of the newest additions to the Capoeira Brasil family. Training with Capoeira Brasil allows you access to many different Rodas and provides exposure to the various groups and styles of capoeira. You will be taken to meet many famous mestres and historical sites for capoeira, like the Saint Antonio Fort or the Mercado Modelo. We are dedeicated to further developing Capoeira as a community oriented and respected Martial art. Come and enjoy the energy.
Our classes normally start off with a dynamic warm-up and stretch. Throughout the class you are taught techniques and drills for strength, and agility. We incorporate some yoga stretches and some meditation techniques to help you with your control and concentration. Then at the end of the class we sometimes do a cool down stretch before we do some songs to boost your “axe” before we send you back into the world.

- What time are classes?
We do not have a home location currently so email or call to find out the time, day, and location for classes.
- How much do classes cost?
There is a R$30 fee for each class and a R$20 fee for the use of the studio time that can be split between the students. If you are planning on staying for a few months please consult us about the price per month. There is also a discount if there are more then 4 people in the class. The more the better.
- What should I wear?
You will need loose long pants that are comfortable enough to move around in. You should also where a t-shirt or a top made for athletic activity. You can also purchase a capoeira uniform if you would like. No shoes are required to take class, but you can where them if you need to.
- How long is the class?
The classes last anywhere from 1 hour to 1 and a half hours.
- Who can take class?
Anyone can take these classes. Children can start as early 5 years of age and adults can enter in as long as they can handle medium physical activity.
